Let me start off by saying enjoy creating web sites.Over the past 10 years I have taught myself how to create easy to navigate sites for the viewing customer. I am not a web designer by trade, however I love creating web sites.  Also I am not a graphic designer. I use two sources for my graphics with their permission. 

The first thing you need for your web site is a hosting company. I use Khimaira Web Hosting  because I found that their personal approach to business is perfect for me. There is no advertisements placed on your site by them. They have always been there when I need help.
Khimaira's basic hosting plan ($110.00 a year.) is a great place to start as you can always upgrade later if you find the need. However, I use the basic plan and I've never had to upgrade. I also use webedit, ($50.00 to purchase) which is a program that is web based so if at any time you wish to update your own site you can. Everything is stored on Khimaira's server.

Now if you want your own graphics that are unique to your business, there are several graphic designers that can help you create unique business logo's, buttons and banners. I like Country Clip Art. Lisa designed my banners for me.  But there are several other graphic artist on the web with great talents. Or I can use pre-designed graphics.

Setting up a website can take several weeks depending on the size. Meaning how many pages you require. How many products that need to be uploaded. I make a homepage, contact page, about me page, privacy page, and 3 product pages (a product page is the page with the thumbnail pictures.) If you look at my site, I have a pattern page, gift page, completed doll page. I then make a separate page detailing each item for sale that is linked from the thumbnail picture. It will have a description, price, large picture and button to buy. Most sites cost $200.00 to set up, but if you have a lot of products it could be more. Once the site is set up I can maintain it for you. Every product you add or change cost $5.00.
